Grilled Cheese Sandwiches are a staple that everyone should know how to make. And there are so many variations to the sandwich, you can truly make it your own. We have tried with a few different cheeses, and my favorite has always been muenster cheese, with a regular whole wheat bread. We started getting the Muenster cheese more often lately because the boys will eat it, and we like it for sandwiches. You can change it up with different types of breads, other cheeses, or even add some meat and it becomes something totally different. Justin actually used to make his in a different method than I do, but this is how my dad taught me and how Justin now makes them too.
- 2 tbsp butter
- 4 slices bread
- 2 slices cheese
Butter one side of each slice of bread
Place one piece of bread, butter side down, on warm pan and add cheese
Cover cheese with other slice of bread, butter side up
Cook over medium for about 3-5 minutes on each side until cooked to desired doneness
